I think these guys are just playing with our minds. They know how many applications are pending. At least they have a estimate and idea.
Now they will sit on these pending applications until the end of year and then suddenly move dates 2-3 years ahead and approve some GCs. Few will be happy and most of us will be disappointed.

Dont mean to dampen your spirits, happy for the poster of this thread. Could have been lucky to get approved while people like me ( Sep 2003) PD waiting 485 filed 3 yrs ago.

Just kidding.. You are perfectly right.. Thats the right word and I have said the same even in my first post here. I would request again somebody from IV admin group to take the lead and gather all EB3 to one forum to make a difference. I see atleast 4-5 threads here with same topic.
I would suggest the campaign can have "Visa number recapture, immediate greencard for anyone more than 5 years legally in the US, make all cases current, but apply the quotas at H1 or F1 levels and no limits at GC level. I have many ideas,. but we all must come together and ask just a couple of things or one (recapture) and fight for it. We can do other things too, but a flower campaign will not hurt. IN the worst case it will not make any effect.
We can always send cards which is much easier than flower..
Please come up with something and we can make some progress. Assuming OCt bulletin is coming out on Sep 10th, we have just 26 days to make any difference. That too it must reach them way in advance to effect any change. Lets set a deadline of Aug 25th and do it..

9years: So finally did you have to send the interfiling request, or they approved it automatically.
- My EB2 140 got approved 2 weeks ago (with July 03 PD), but still no LUD on my 485.
- I placed a Service Request last week on my pending 485, which resulted in a soft LUD on my EB2 140 but nothing on 485.
I just wanted to know if you also had to send the interfiling request just like VayuMahesh.

This is specifically for those people who have never contributed but feel like contributing but for some reason hesitate to pull the trigger. For all such people who start a monthly contribution of $50 and promise (not to me or anyone else but themselves) to keep contributing for at least the next 6 months, I am going to make a one-time contribution of $50 for every such person. I have a modest upper limit, which I will disclose after the first 10 new contributors.
So people, Sept 18th is approaching fast and IV needs your contribution. Now is the time.
The only requirement is that the member has never contributed before and starts a $50 dollar recurring contribution. For every two new contributors I will make a $100 one-time contribution. Moderators may verify my contribution.
This is great thinking and wonderful initiative. It is a lesson how we all can be creative and help others motivate. It reminds of a story. There were two teams US and Japanese. They each were divided into two groups each and made to stand facing each other. There was a imaginary line drawn and the goal of each team is to convince their team members on the other side of the line to cross over. US Team were never able to convince their team members to cross over and move to other side.
Japanese simply said to their team members on other side.. If you cross over we will also cross over.. and they won. As simple as it may sound here is a classic example shown by Milind. You rock Milind.
And you make me feel proud in being associated with you in this struggle for our cause.
I am also in the drive for funds with my indifferent colleagues. See you in DC.

My name is Debasish and I live in Santa Monica near UCLA. I think we all should get together and do something to mobilize our chapter here in So-Cal area. We all know that there are a lot of people who are on H1B and have applied for their GC. But they are waiting....
For myself, I have applied for my GC and still waiting for the I-140. Don't know what they are doing in the TSC???
So the idea should be to get them invloved...Somebody has rightly put it that we do not have a collective voice and that's why we are ignored...

The early-peek opportunity for comment allows the agency to withdraw with dignity intact from a position that stakeholders may show is contrary to law or legitimate business practices. For example, USCIS is now accepting comments on a guidance memo with a dry title but a topic of great significance to many prospective green-card applicants with high levels of accomplishment: “Evaluation of Evidentiary Criteria in Certain Form I-140 Petitions.”
This particular guidance memo arises from a debunking the agency received from the Ninth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals in Kazarian v. USCIS, 596 F.3d 1115, C.A.9 (Cal.), March 04, 2010 (NO. 07-56774). The Court in Kazarian held that USCIS (in this case the Administrative Appeals Office) may not “unilaterally impose novel substantive or evidentiary requirements” without support in the Immigration and Nationality Act or agency regulations.
While Kazarian dealt with EB-1 (extraordinary ability or achievement) green-card eligibility criteria, the interim agency guidance cited extends this also to the EB-2 immigrant visa category for exceptional ability aliens. In my view, USCIS should have issued a guidance memorandum more broadly. Currently it takes about 80-90 days for EAD when the 485 was just trickle, with the june filers it was expected to become more towards 90 days +. based on that with deluge of applications it will take around 6 months for july filers.
please note most of the post June 15th to June 30th filers are yet to get the reciepts. it takes approximately a month from then to get FP. which means that even june filers will get FP into late august september. With the FP being code 3 that is what kicks off the EAD.
So it is just that instead of being in one line the july filers will move into another line... but the good is that recent H4 people will not suffer years of waiting like the early PD people who have been waiting for years to be in EAD to get a job.

We have received cards yesterday. It took one week from approval of I-485 to Physical cards. We are happy at the end everything went well. I wish all of our friends best of luck for all their immigration wishes.
<I>Note: I noticed that physical cards envelope does not have any USCIS stamp or from address. After seeing that I thought it is some credit card company mail and kept away(didn't through out). This is an excellent thread. It's something I've been looking for for a long time. I am still not clear about using AC21. Here's my situation.
July 2nd filer. Received EAD for me (primary) and my spouse. Waiting for I140 approval. I understand it's risky to invoke AC21 before I140 approval. After I get it approved, here's what I intend to do.
1. Inc a business in my spouse's name.
2. Invoke AC21 and join my spouse's company as a "Software Engineer" (my position in LCA)
If I do this, during I485 adjudication, all I need is an offer letter from my spouse company saying that I am working as a Software Engineer right?
Also, does USCIS care during I485 adjudication whether I got paid continously while employed with my spouse's company?
If for any reason, I decide to quit my spouse's company before I485 adjudication and move to a different company, Will I be able to do this?
