Dear members,
It is time now to do a massive mother of all media campaigns and inform every reporter, TV station, Radio station, Magazine and newspaper in this country about the rally.
We start this campaign now and we will continue it until Monday. Media publicity is very important for the success of the rally. IV is already doing an email campaign to hundreds of immigration reporters today. (Ps.This list was compiled by few IV volunteers from various forums and threads. It will not be made public. So if you have any such list do not post on IV.)
Here is what we want everyone to do:
1) Someone pls draft a cover letter/Letters and post on this thread. We need several such letters so that all emails look different.
2) Copy paste press releases from

6) If you want to call media offices, then start calling them. You will get phone numbers from

I tried my best to attend the DC Rally, but sorry to say that I'm missing a great event. I'm trying to make it up by contributing a very small amount to DC Rally.($ 200 - Google Order #703505280174212 ).
I appreciate all the selfless efforts put in by all the members of this group.

If the inflation does not improve, it may continue until 2014.
Next year in india we can expect home credit crisis ( like USA). - more chances with this current economy.
The current prices in Hyd ,Blore, Chennai are artifical booms. - it will come for a correction.
But for sure, if you buy a property you CANNOTexpect that to go up by 500 or 700 % up in a year.
But real estate is always a good investment in life.
And on your question - i think SBI you can get loan from here

I have asked a few of my friends to call the list too. And I did another round of calling Tier 1 republicans only. It was pretty much the same response as the last time. I think that is their standard way of answering, - to sit on the fence.
Unless these issues are being discussed and called to vote, they will pander to whoever is talking. But, I think we still need to put continued pressure on them, hence the friends :)

Very well said... I hope at least 50 % of member think like you do.. Then we will have strong IV..
I started off with a one time contribution many months ago, and then signed up for $20 monthly contributions.
Today, when I saw the action item for the new funding drive and that the recurring contribution request had gone up to $50, I couldn't initially bring my stingy self to changing my contribution from $20 to $50.
Then I asked myself, If I were offered a green card today, at an additional 'premium' fee (Besides the filing, attorney fees), how much would I be willing to pay? probably, $2, 3, 4, 5, or even upto $10000. That being the case why was I being a miser about spending $50 a month supporting a great organization like IV.
With that thought, I immediately went ahead and signed up for the $50 a month contribution and cancelled my old $20 subscription on Paypal.
I am single and don't have a family to support like most of you do, but this $50 a month will go a long way. We have seen IV get results. From what has gone on in the last few months, up until last night, we know that IV is the only organization that really works for our interest. Oh, Shusterman, ILW, Murthy might all be good attorneys but they don't push our interests like IV does.
With that, I would request all of you to join hands and work with IV in bringing a revolutionary change to the employment immigration system.

Volunteer is a person who takes responsibility and does a task. Here the question was raised to have new leaders who can take a flight to Washington DC on Monday morning, change the law by noon to issue GC to every EB category, have a lunch at Olive Garden, come back monday evening.
Most leaders are actually volunteers in IV. They have a regular full time job.

IV is a tiny organization in front of La Raza. Thats....a BILLION with which they hire full time lobbyist.
I strongly suggest you listen to the audio interview to understand how big the hispanic
lobby is and get some reality check of how things work in US politics.
