My I-140 got approved and priority date from EB3 got ported to EB2. I read in one of the forum threads that USCIS system would automatically identify that application is current and appropriate action will be taken. Also, I read about initiating interfile process of existing EB2 I-140 (current) with Pending I-485 application (under EB3). I am not sure whether I should wait few weeks before initiating interfile process.
I have given my biometrics in 2007 while filing I-485. Will USCIS send appointment for Biometrics again ?

Hi
it seems most/all of multimedia jobs are project-based/short term/freelanced, is there any multimedia permanent job which you can sit in a fix studio to work on, maybe 5 days a week, just like some administration/office fulltime position (e.g. clark/marketing person).
Work in some multimedia comp/film company maybe one of the solution, anyone could give me more ideas/suggestions & I dont know which multimedia/film is the big one / famous...:puzzle:

Application was sent out on 8/8/07.
Received on 8/9/07.
Notice date on 9/20/07

I have married my wife last friday. we have been living together for almost two years and own a home together for 6 months. I have been in the stats on A2 visa up until now (3.5 years). I have the doctor's letter on hand and I want to apply for my adjustment of status by early next week. I was told that I will ( MUST LIKELY) receive my I-131 travel document approved in no earlier than 3 months from the time of filling. I have bought tickets to go with my wife to New-Zealand for our best friends wedding on november 5th which means I won't have the travel document on hand in time.
What can I do?

I was in a similar situation and my lawyer advised to apply for H1 (come April) even without the H4 extension. A query will be sent asking to prove your status until atleast Sep 30th. You can then attach your H4 papers (assuming your H4 extn is approved by then).
Anyway, i am planning to apply for extension using premium processing just to make sure things progress smoothly.

is it possible and advisable to convert H1 B to H4 and go on searching for job and if find a job then coming back to H1? Are there any risks in this process? if so can some one explain me in detail?
Yes you can switch from H-1b to H4 status. later on when the prospective employer finds a new job for you then that they can file a change of status application from H4 to H-1b under non cap case.

My I 485 package was returned as it didnt have the approval notice of I 140, which was submitted a day later than I485 by my company.
It is such a frustrating situation as i have been waiting since 1999 for my GC , and when i got this golden chance my company was not serious enuf to submit the papers in time !
I am doubting the company , as they would have done all this intentionally to keep me in their co. for longer time!The returned letter they have provided me shows no reference no, file no, or either my name ! how can i believe if they have even submitted any papers for I485 or not ?
They say they can refile again .. but duno what to do ??
Can anybody be kind enough to help me out here!

my company have applied for H1-B & H4 extension for myself and my wife. My wife now is looking to go for work and has got an offer from a company. The company will be doing a premium processing of my wife's H1-B and it is expected to be approved in 2 weeks. my wife has already held H1 status before, so she doesn't fall undr the cap. If my wife's H4 comes thru later, what status will she hold?

Folks, I read somewhere about I-140 premium processing by paying $1000. Is it available now or is it something proposed for future? If not available now, any idea when is it going to be implemented?
